Tab Trade - The Short Version
TabTrade opened in Q1 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background is relevant. It suggests the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. TabTrade did the opposite. Interesting choice.
Market coverage: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For something that launched in March 2026, that coverage is not narrow.
Platforms
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from one account. Most brokers pick one platform. Access to both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, automated trading, huge user base. If you have traded on MetaTrader before, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the more modern one. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.
FIX API is available for bots but needs the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is apparently in the works. That would round things out when it arrives.
Accounts and Pricing
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Commission-free. Easy to track. Zero deposit requirement. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often under 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not for typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume.
Infrastructure
The speed is where Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you swing trade, you will not notice. The point is they invested in proper execution. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Put together those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Now, the detail that matters. Tab Trade is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If that is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of FCA-regulated options out there.
But. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is not cheap. Fly-by-night platforms do not bother with Equinix connectivity. This does not guarantee anything. But inform your assessment.
The trade-off: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that is worth it comes down to your priorities.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade runs a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You fund your account, the broker top up your balance. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before funding.
